Your music streaming, hosted in France
The Spotify of your collection powered by Black Candy, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your tracks stay on our French servers — streamable anywhere, on browser or mobile.
What is Black Candy?
Black Candy is a self-hosted personal music streaming server, written in Ruby on Rails. It allows you to host your own music collection and listen to it from anywhere, via a dynamic web interface (Hotwire) or dedicated mobile apps.
It supports numerous audio formats (MP3, M4A, OGG, OGA, Opus, FLAC, WMA, WAV) without re-encoding, and automatically fetches album covers and artist photos via the Discogs API. Multi-user management with administration allows sharing the server among multiple listeners.
Official apps are available for iOS, Android, and F-Droid. Technically, Black Candy runs with a SQLite database by default or PostgreSQL, and deploys easily via Docker / docker-compose.
