Your music, your server, everywhere
A lightweight music streaming server powered by LMS, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your library stays on our French servers — accessible from the web and your mobile apps.
What is LMS — Lightweight Music Server?
LMS (Lightweight Music Server) is an self-hosted music streaming server that gives you access to your own library from anywhere via a web interface. Compatible with the Subsonic / OpenSubsonic API, it also works with most mobile clients on the market.
It offers transcoding audio on the fly, ReplayGain support, a Jukebox feature, keyboard shortcuts, as well as rich discovery: filtering by genre and mood, similar artists and albums, radio mode, random / most listened / recently added navigation, favorites and playlists. Advanced metadata (multi-valued tags, artist relationships, output types, MusicBrainz identifiers) ensure clean deduplication. Podcasts, synchronized lyrics, ListenBrainz scrobbling and multi-library support complete the set.
Written in C++ on the Wt framework with a SQLite database, LMS is deliberately lightweight and deploys via Docker. It handles multi-user with several authentication backends: internal (hashed/salted passwords), PAM, and SSO via HTTP header.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Which mobile applications is it compatible with?
LMS exposes the Subsonic / OpenSubsonic API: it works with most Subsonic clients on the market (Android, iOS), in addition to its built-in web interface.
Is my listening history private?
Yes. Your library and listening history remain on your DINAO instance in France. No data is resold or used for advertising profiling.
Can multiple users be managed?
Yes. LMS handles multi-user with internal authentication (hashed and salted passwords), PAM, or SSO via HTTP header set by the reverse proxy.
How do I import my music?
You drop your files into the dedicated storage of your instance; LMS scans the metadata (tags, MusicBrainz) and automatically builds your library.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. Your music files belong to you and remain exportable; you can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
