Your photo albums, organized in folders and hosted in France
A folder-oriented photo gallery powered by PiGallery2, installed by DINAO. Your albums remain organized just like on your disk, enriched with GPS mapping and search, all hosted in France.
What is PiGallery2?
PiGallery2 is a fast, web-based photo gallery that is folder-oriented (directory-first), designed to run even on low-resource servers — its name pays homage to the Raspberry Pi. It takes your photo tree as is : each folder becomes an album, with no re-import or reorganization required.
It supports a wide range of formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC, DNG, ARW…), generates thumbnails and MP4 video transcoding via ffmpeg, and offers a responsive grid on mobile, tablet, and desktop. For discovery, it places geolocated photos on a map (OpenStreetMap or Mapbox), displays GPX tracks, and reads XMP face regions from Adobe for person-based search.
Robust and lightweight, PiGallery2 indexes the gallery in a database (SQLite or MySQL), operates in read-only mode so as never to modify your files, and allows creating share links or serving a random photo to third-party apps. An ideal solution for cleanly publishing large family or professional collections.

Do I need to reorganize my photos to use it?
No. PiGallery2 is « directory-first »: it takes your tree as is, with each folder becoming an album. No imposed reorganization.
Are my files modified?
No. A read-only mode ensures that your photo folder is never altered. Indexing metadata is stored separately in the database.
Does it handle geolocation and faces?
Yes. PiGallery2 reads GPS data from photos to display them on a map, supports GPX tracks, and reads XMP face regions for person-based search.
Where are the data hosted?
On DINAO's infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your photos never leave the country.
Do I need technical skills?
No. The interface is ready to use. DINAO handles installation, indexing, security, and updates.
