ChronoFrame is a personal self-hosted photo gallery designed to regain full control over your visual memories, without relying on proprietary clouds. It offers an elegant web interface with continuous scrolling where you can import, organize into albums, and browse your photos, featuring intelligent thumbnail generation (ThumbHash) and high-resolution rendering via WebGL.

Beyond display, ChronoFrame stands out for its fine-grained metadata management. The EXIF parser automatically extracts the capture date and camera settings, while reverse geocoding identifies the shooting location. An interactive exploration map allows you to rediscover your collection by location. The application recognizes Apple's Live/Motion Photos (image + MOV video pairs) and supports JPEG, PNG, and HEIC/HEIF formats.

On the technical side, ChronoFrame is built on Nuxt 4 (Vue 3) with SSR/SSG rendering, written in TypeScript, styled with TailwindCSS, and relies on Drizzle ORM. Storage is flexible: local file system or S3-compatible storage (AWS S3, Cloudflare R2), with a configurable CDN URL to accelerate image delivery.

Deployment is done via Docker (official images published on registries). It is the ideal application for individuals or photographers who want a sovereign, aesthetic, and geolocated photo cloud, without subscriptions or commercial exploitation of their images.
