What is YOURLS?
YOURLS (Your Own URL Shortener) is an open-source, self-hostable URL shortener. Rather than relying on a third-party service like bit.ly, you distribute your short links on your own brand domain, keeping full control over redirects and click data.
Each link can be assigned a custom keyword or a random identifier, be public or private, and provide detailed statistics: number of clicks, geolocation, referring sites, and trends over time. A comprehensive API and a wide ecosystem of plugins allow you to automate and extend the tool.
Built in PHP with a MySQL / MariaDB database, YOURLS is lightweight and deploys easily via Docker. It is the ideal tool for a brand, marketing service, or organization seeking consistent short links and private statistics.
