What is Vince Analytics?
Vince Analytics is an open source web audience analytics and self-hosted tool, designed as a privacy-friendly alternative to Google Analytics, in the lineage of Plausible. Distributed under the AGPL-3.0 license, it is delivered as a single Go binary, with no external dependencies to install, making deployment and operation particularly simple.
Its key feature is its frugality: the application runs with a memory footprint of approximately 30 MB of RAM, whereas traditional solutions require heavy databases and large servers. The clear and readable dashboard presents essential metrics — unique visitors, page views, traffic sources, countries, devices, entry and exit pages — without overwhelming the user.
Regarding compliance, Vince Analytics does not place any cookies and does not store any personally identifiable data. It is designed to comply from the outset with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR, which exempts you from the consent banner and reduces the regulatory burden on your site.
