Lightweight and privacy-friendly analytics, hosted in France
Track your audience with Plausible, the minimalist, cookie-free analytics, installed and maintained by DINAO. A clear dashboard, GDPR-compliant by design, without a consent banner.
What is Plausible?
Plausible Analytics is a lightweight and privacy-friendly web statistics tool, designed as a sovereign alternative to Google Analytics. Its script is approximately 54 times lighter than Google Analytics', reducing page load, data transfer, and carbon footprint, without slowing down the visitor experience.
Plausible does not set any cookies, does not use persistent identifiers, and does not engage in cross-site tracking: it does not process personal data, making it GDPR compliant and eliminating the need for a consent banner. The official infrastructure is hosted in Europe on servers owned by European companies, and the project is open source: the code is publicly auditable and fully self-hostable.
The tool focuses on simplicity with a single dashboard covering the essentials: real-time traffic, sources, scroll depth, goals and conversions without code, UTM campaign analysis, conversion funnels, and integration with Search Console. It is aimed at eCommerce sites, SaaS publishers, agencies, and content creators who want clear, reliable, and ethical analytics.

What is the difference with Matomo?
Plausible aims for simplicity and lightweight performance : a single dashboard, no cookies, a tiny script. Matomo is more comprehensive (heatmaps, sessions). Both are sovereign and hosted in France by DINAO.
Do I need a consent banner?
No. Plausible does not set any cookies and does not collect any personal data : it is GDPR compliant by design and does not require a consent pop-up.
Where are the data hosted?
On DINAO's infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. No data passes through Google or leaves the territory.
Do I need technical skills?
No : simply paste a small script on your site. DINAO manages hosting, the database, and updates.
Can I export my data or change my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your statistics remain exportable via the API — no proprietary lock-in.
