Overview

What is Plane?

Plane is an open source project management tool, a modern and fast alternative to Jira, Linear, Asana, and Monday. Designed for agile teams, it covers task tracking, sprints, product roadmaps, and documentation, in a clean and fluid experience.

Work items feature a rich-text editor, attachments, comments, labels, and custom statuses. Cycles/sprints provide burn-down charts and progress tracking, while modules allow you to break down complex projects. Views are multiple : Kanban, list, calendar, filterable queries, and shareable views.

Plane also integrates rich-text wiki/pages, epics and product roadmaps, real-time analytics, and integrations (including GitHub). Built with Django/Python, React/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Redis, and distributed as a Community Edition under the AGPL-3.0 license, it is the ally of product teams concerned with sovereignty.
