Your sovereign electronic signatures
An open source alternative to DocuSign, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your signed contracts and documents remain on our French servers — with no usage-based license or American cloud.
What is OpenSign?
OpenSign is an open source electronic signature solution, designed as a secure, reliable, and free alternative to commercial platforms such as DocuSign, PandaDoc, SignNow, Adobe Sign, or HelloSign. Its goal: make compliant signing accessible to everyone, without proprietary lock-in or high license costs.
OpenSign allows you to annotate PDF documents with an advanced signature pad supporting handwritten signatures, an image, a typed signature, or a saved signature. It manages multi-party signatures, inviting signers via shareable links and signature order, as well as reusable document templates.
Licensed under the MIT license, OpenSign relies on robust encryption for security and privacy, offers customizable workflows and an integration API to automate your sends from your business tools.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does OpenSign replace DocuSign?
Yes. OpenSign is an open source alternative to DocuSign for signing and having PDF documents signed, with multi-signers, templates, and API — no per-signature subscription or proprietary lock-in.
What types of signatures are possible?
The advanced signature pad accepts handwritten signatures, an image, a keyboard-typed signature, or a saved signature. You place the fields directly on the PDF.
Do my contracts go to an external cloud?
No. Your documents, signatures, and logs remain on your DINAO instance hosted in France, in an isolated and encrypted container.
Does the signature have legal value?
OpenSign relies on robust encryption and signature tracking. The precise legal qualification (simple, advanced, or qualified under eIDAS) depends on your use case and regulatory framework.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your signed documents remain exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
