What is LibreChat?
LibreChat is an open source and self-hosted AI chat interface, inspired by ChatGPT but designed to bring multiple models together in one application. You can chat with locally served LLMs (Ollama) or via external APIs — OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Google, and many others — switching freely between them.
Feature-rich, LibreChat offers side-by-side response comparison, presets and custom agents, document import and querying (RAG), image generation, a code interpreter, and a plugin system. The experience remains faithful to top-tier consumer interfaces, including shared conversations and history.
Built for business, it includes multi-user authentication with roles, SSO/OIDC and LDAP, as well as an OpenAI-compatible API. Self-hosted, it allows you to provide modern conversational AI to your entire team without entrusting exchanges to a third-party service.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.

No. Your exchanges and documents remain private on your LibreChat instance. No data is shared or used for training, unlike consumer services.
Can I use multiple models?
Yes, that is LibreChat's strength: local open-weight models (Ollama) and external APIs coexist in the same interface, with hot switching and side-by-side comparison.
Does LibreChat handle accounts and SSO?
Yes. LibreChat offers multi-user authentication, roles, and SSO/OIDC and LDAP integration to align with your corporate directory.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your data does not leave the territory in local mode.
Are technical skills required?
No for usage: the interface is ready-to-use and familiar. DINAO handles installation, security, SSO, and updates.
