Keila is a free and open source newsletter tool, designed as an self-hostable alternative to services like Mailchimp or Sendinblue. 100 % open source with no proprietary premium features, it allows you to create and manage email campaigns, build customizable signup forms, and manage your subscriber lists.

Keila focuses on rendering quality: its robust base templates guarantee impeccable newsletters across all devices and email clients — Gmail, Outlook, Thunderbird. Creation is done through a powerful visual block editor, or by writing directly in Markdown via a WYSIWYG editor.

For sending, Keila adapts to all scales: a personal SMTP account for small volumes, or integration with major transactional providers (AWS SES, Sendgrid, Mailgun, Postmark) for large-scale deployments. Built in Elixir and released under the AGPL-3.0 license, deployable via Docker, Keila becomes — self-hosted by DINAO — a sovereign emailing platform where your precious contact list stays in France.
