What is Kan?
Kan is an open-source Kanban project management tool, designed as a modern and polished alternative to Trello. While many open-source clones look dated, Kan focuses on a professional and fluid interface to plan your team's work card by card.
The application offers drag-and-drop boards, lists, cards with labels, comments, and attachments, reusable board templates, powerful filters, and a detailed activity history. Permission controls allow you to precisely define who can view or modify each board, and Trello board import facilitates migration.
Built on a modern tech stack (Next.js, tRPC, Better Auth), Kan offers a reactive experience and simple deployment in containers. Open source under the AGPL license, it constitutes a sovereign project management solution, with controlled costs and no per-user billing.
