What is Jellyfin?
Jellyfin is a free and open-source media solution, developed by a community of volunteers, giving you full control over your content. Installed on your own server, it allows you to gather, organize, and stream your movies, series, music, books, and photos across all your devices — web browser, computer, mobile, and streaming boxes.
The platform automatically organizes your library: series are sorted by season, movies are enriched with cover art and metadata, and music is grouped by artists and playlists. It also supports live TV and recording (DVR), as well as SyncPlay for synchronized remote viewing of the same content.
