What is Euro-Office DocumentServer?
Euro-Office DocumentServer is an online collaborative office server, a 100 % open source European fork of ONLYOFFICE Document Server. It provides three complete web editors — documents, spreadsheets, and presentations — designed to integrate with a storage platform such as Nextcloud, ownCloud, or Seafile.
Its main strength is compatibility with Microsoft Office formats (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX) with excellent layout fidelity, as well as native support for ODF formats (ODT, ODS, ODP) and PDF. Multiple users can co-edit the same file in real time: live cursors, comments, change tracking, and version history.
Born from a European digital sovereignty initiative, the project is entirely free and community-driven. Technically, it integrates via WOPI protocols and the document-server API, with JWT token authentication, making it a credible and independent alternative to American office suites.
