Your team's real-time collaborative notepad
Write together, at the same time, with Etherpad, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your shared documents stay on our French servers — not in a foreign cloud service.
What is Etherpad?
Etherpad is an open source, highly customizable real-time collaborative text editor. Multiple people can write simultaneously in the same document, called a pad, with each contributor identified by a color, making it the ideal tool for meeting minutes, brainstorming, or co-authoring.
Each pad retains a complete history: thanks to the time slider, you can replay the text's evolution and return to any version. A built-in chat allows you to discuss without leaving the document, and exports (PDF, HTML, Markdown, DOCX) facilitate sharing.
Lightweight and extensible, Etherpad is enriched with a wide ecosystem of plugins (authentication, private access, lists, tables…) and exposes a pad management API. Hosted by DINAO in an isolated container, it keeps all your collaborative documents in France.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
What is Etherpad?
It is a real-time collaborative text editor: multiple people can write simultaneously in the same document (pad), with each author having their own color, and a built-in chat.
Do my documents remain private?
Yes. Your pads are stored on your instance hosted in France. No data is transmitted to a third-party service.
Can I retrieve a previous version?
Yes. The time slider feature allows you to replay the history of a pad and return to any previous version.
Does Etherpad replace Google Docs?
For lightweight note-taking and collaborative writing, yes: it is a sovereign alternative. For full office suites (spreadsheets, presentations), other self-hosted solutions exist.
Can it be enhanced?
Yes. Etherpad has a vast ecosystem of plugins: exports, authentication, lists, tables, etc. DINAO can activate the ones you need.
