Your online notepad, hosted in France
An ultra-simple web notepad powered by DumbPad, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your notes save themselves and stay on our French servers — never in a third-party cloud.
What is DumbPad?
DumbPad is a minimalist web notepad and self-hostable application from the DumbWare.io collection of apps designed for their extreme simplicity. Its philosophy: no complicated registration, no superfluous features — you open, you write, and everything is automatically saved.
Despite its claimed simplicity, DumbPad offers useful features: real-time collaborative editing, fuzzy search to find a note, live Markdown preview with syntax highlighting for around 180 languages, and a shared edit/render view. You can create multiple notepads and export them as .txt or .md.
Backup is continuous (triggered a few hundred milliseconds after typing), optional PIN protection secures access, and the container runs as a non-root user for greater security. Deployed in Docker by DINAO, DumbPad is the ideal notepad for those who want the essentials, hosted in France.

What is DumbPad?
DumbPad is a minimalist, self-hostable web notepad by DumbWare.io. It focuses on simplicity: open, write, and it saves itself — with the added bonus of collaborative editing and Markdown preview.
Are my notes saved automatically?
Yes. DumbPad backs up your changes continuously (every ~300 ms after typing), with no button to click. You never lose your work.
Can I protect access to my notes?
Yes. An optional PIN protection restricts access. DINAO adds HTTPS and can limit access by IP depending on your plan.
Where are my notes hosted?
On the DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your notes never leave the country.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your notes remain exportable as .txt or .md — no proprietary lock-in.
