What is ConvertX?
ConvertX is a self-hosted file converter that allows you to transform your documents from one format to another without relying on an external online service. It supports over 1000 conversions covering images, documents, videos, audio files, 3D models, e-books, and data files.
The application offers batch processing of multiple files, password protection, and multi-account support, all from a simple web interface. Under the hood, it orchestrates proven engines: FFmpeg, ImageMagick, LibreOffice, Pandoc, and many specialized converters.
Developed in TypeScript on the Bun runtime with the Elysia framework, ConvertX deploys easily via Docker. It is the ideal alternative to online converters for those who want to maintain full control over their files, without ever uploading them to a third party.
