Chibisafe is a self-hosted file hosting and sharing service written in TypeScript that “just works”: easy to use, easy to deploy, free and open source. It accepts files, photos, documents — anything you can imagine — and returns a shareable link to send to your contacts.

You can run it in public mode, with user accounts or by invitation only. Large files are automatically chunked to minimize network failures, and each user can create an API key to use the service programmatically and integrate it with other tools.

Chibisafe comes with a full dashboard allowing you to configure almost all instance settings directly from the interface — name, rate limit, maximum file size, accepted extensions, metadata — without having to manually edit configuration files. A sovereign and practical alternative to market file-sharing services.
