What is Checkmk?
Checkmk is a complete IT supervision solution designed for scalability, flexibility, and low resource consumption. It monitors both physical, virtual, containerized, and cloud environments, covering infrastructure as well as applications.
Its Community edition is fully free and open source (GNU GPL v2) : it includes the monitoring core, a web interface, monitoring with or without agents, and hundreds of plugins. Its automatic service discovery, SNMP support, and over 2 000 built-in integrations provide reliable visibility across the entire fleet.
Checkmk integrates easily with third-party tools such as InfluxDB, PagerDuty, or Opsgenie and runs on Linux, Windows, macOS, and most Unix systems. It is aimed at teams seeking a powerful, battle-tested monitoring platform under their full control.
