What is Beszel?
Beszel is an open-source server monitoring platform designed for simplicity and efficiency. It is based on a hub + agent architecture: the hub, built on PocketBase, provides a web dashboard, while agents installed on monitored machines send their metrics to the central interface.
The solution tracks numerous indicators: CPU and memory usage, disk performance, network activity, temperatures, and statistics for Docker / Podman containers. It offers configurable alerts for CPU, memory, disk, bandwidth, temperature, load average, and system status, along with history for trend analysis.
Written primarily in Go, Beszel is lighter and less resource-intensive than reference solutions, while remaining easy to set up. It supports multi-user access, OAuth2 / OIDC authentication, automatic backup to S3-compatible storage, GPU monitoring (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel), and disk health via S.M.A.R.T. The project is MIT-licensed and actively maintained.

Is Beszel really lighter than other solutions?
Yes. Written in Go with a hub + agent architecture, Beszel consumes significantly fewer resources than classic monitoring stacks. The agent installed on your servers is minimal and does not slow down your services.
Which metrics are reported?
CPU, memory, disk, network, temperature, load average, as well as statistics per Docker/Podman container, GPU, and S.M.A.R.T. disk health.
Does my monitoring data leave the server?
No. Everything is collected and stored on your instance hosted in France by DINAO. No telemetry is sent to an external service.
Can I receive alerts?
Yes. You set thresholds for each indicator (CPU, memory, disk, bandwidth, temperature, status) and receive notifications via email or webhook before the situation deteriorates.
Are technical skills required?
For everyday use, no : the dashboard is ready to use. DINAO installs the hub, secures access, and manages updates. Adding an agent to a server is done with a simple command that we provide.
