What is Apache Superset?

Apache Superset is a modern open-source data exploration and visualization platform capable of handling petabyte-scale volumes. It enables analysts and business users to discover trends through interactive dashboards.

Superset comes with more than 40 preinstalled visualization types and a plugin architecture that facilitates the creation of custom charts. Charts are composed via drag-and-drop, or advanced SQL queries are written using the built-in editor, metadata exploration, and Jinja templating. It connects to more than 40 databases and warehouses (PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks…).

Born from an Airbnb hackathon before joining the Apache Software Foundation, Superset can replace or complement proprietary Business Intelligence tools for many teams, offering a sovereign, extensible solution backed by a large community.
