OrangeHRM is a complete human resources management system (HRIS / HRMS) open source, covering the essential features expected by any organization. Distributed under the GNU GPL license, it is particularly suited for small and medium-sized structures due to zero licensing costs for its basic functions.
The open-source version brings together employee management, HR administration, leave and absence management, time and attendance tracking, recruitment (ATS, from job posting to offer acceptance), performance management and reporting, as well as a mobile application.
OrangeHRM thus allows you to manage the entire employee lifecycle — from hiring to career tracking — in a single web interface, with employee self-service and manager approval workflows.

Which HR modules are included?
The open-source version covers employee management, HR administration, leave/absences, time and attendance, recruitment (ATS), performance management, and reporting, with a mobile application.
Are my employee data protected?
Yes. Your instance is isolated in a dedicated container, hosted in France, with a private encrypted MySQL database. HR personal data is neither shared nor transmitted to a third party.
Is there a cost per employee?
No. You pay a fixed DINAO hosting fee based on the instance size; there is no per-employee subscription like proprietary HR SaaS.
Can employees make their own requests?
Yes. OrangeHRM offers employee self-service (leave requests, viewing their information…), with manager approval workflows.
Can I change my plan or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your HR data (database, exports) remains yours — no proprietary lock-in.
