Was ist GoCD?
GoCD is an open-source integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) server, originally designed by ThoughtWorks to automate and streamline the entire build → test → release cycle, from code changes to deployment. Licensed under Apache 2, it is aimed at teams that want to control their delivery pipeline from end to end.
Its signature feature is the Value Stream Map: a continuous visualization that tracks a code change through all stages, accurately modeling dependencies between pipelines (fan-in, fan-out). Where many tools struggle with complex workflows, GoCD makes them readable and traceable.
GoCD is based on a server + agents architecture: builds are distributed across multiple agents to scale. It supports numerous version managers (Git, SVN, Mercurial…), configuration as code, a REST API, SSO/LDAP, and a wide ecosystem of plugins. Managed by DINAO and hosted in France, it keeps your code, artifacts, and secrets under your control, far from shared CI services.
