ClassicPress is an open source content management system derived from WordPress, designed for those who prefer the classic editor to the Gutenberg block editor. It retains the historical administration interface and workflow of WordPress, while lightening the core and focusing on stability, performance and security.
Because it remains very close to WordPress, ClassicPress remains compatible with the vast majority of themes and plugins in the ecosystem, facilitating the migration of an existing site. Its governance is community-based and democratic: the project's direction is decided with its users, far from commercial logic.

What is the difference with WordPress?
ClassicPress is a fork of WordPress that removes the Gutenberg editor and some superfluous components, in favor of the classic editor, lightweight design and stability. Governance is community-based and democratic.
Do my WordPress plugins and themes work?
Yes, the vast majority. ClassicPress remains very close to WordPress, so the theme and plugin ecosystem is largely compatible, with the exception of those that depend strictly on Gutenberg.
Can I migrate my existing WordPress site?
