Yarn is a decentralized microblogging platform and self-hostable, built on the open Twtxt format. Each user has a simple, readable text feed, and instances ("pods") can follow and converse with each other, forming a federated social network without central authority or advertising.

The modern web interface offers a chronological feed, mentions, hashtags, replies, and media sharing. Each profile exposes an RSS/Atom feed, making content interoperable with other tools. Registration can be open or by invitation, and moderation remains in the hands of the pod administrator.

Lightweight and resource-efficient, Yarn deploys easily via Docker. It is suitable for both a public community and an internal corporate network seeking a private, federable exchange space free from the profiling mechanisms of mainstream social networks.
