What is ZITADEL?

ZITADEL is an open-source identity and access management (IAM) platform, a sovereign alternative to Auth0, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID. It centralizes authentication and authorization for all your applications using open standards OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML 2.0.

ZITADEL provides modern security by default : passkeys (WebAuthn/FIDO2), multi-factor authentication (MFA), password policies, customizable branding, and a complete audit log. Its multi-tenant architecture allows managing multiple organizations, projects, and roles within a single instance — a key advantage for SaaS, B2B, and groups with subsidiaries.

On the integration side, ZITADEL exposes gRPC and REST APIs to automate user management, and federates external identity providers (Google, Microsoft, LDAP…). Hosted by DINAO in a dedicated container on our French infrastructure, it keeps your identities in France.
