ZeroNote is an open-source, offline-first, and unified application that replaces your password manager, bookmark manager, notes app, and 2FA authenticator with a single encrypted note-taking system powered by smart tags. Everything is stored locally with zero-knowledge encryption, with optional peer-to-peer or S3 synchronization.
Key features include: client-side AES encryption, offline-first design, smart tags for auto-organization, powerful search, secure P2P synchronization via WebRTC, Markdown support, attachments, and media references. The self-hosted/community version unlocks all features.
Hosted by DINAO, ZeroNote runs in a dedicated container on our French infrastructure. Since data is encrypted client-side, the server only stores unreadable content: your privacy is guaranteed by design.

What is zero-knowledge?
Your data is encrypted client-side (AES) before reaching the server. DINAO only stores encrypted data and cannot read it: you alone hold the key.
Does ZeroNote work offline?
Yes. ZeroNote is offline-first: everything works without a connection, and synchronization (P2P via WebRTC or S3 storage) is optional and always encrypted.
What can it replace?

Where is the data hosted?
The synchronization layer is hosted on DINAO's French infrastructure, and the data is already encrypted there. It does not leave the territory.
