What is Yucca?

Yucca is a simple network video recorder (NVR) solution for video surveillance, designed for both home and professional use. It aggregates IP camera feeds, records them, and allows you to view them live or in playback via a web interface and a mobile app.

Designed to scale, Yucca covers everything from a few cameras at home to connected city deployments with thousands of feeds and subscriber services. Depending on the cameras and configuration, it supports continuous or event-based recording and motion detection.

Self-hosted via Docker on your DINAO instance, Yucca keeps your feeds and recordings in France — a key factor for sensitive video surveillance data, whereas consumer cloud solutions often relocate them abroad.

Which cameras are compatible?

Yucca is an NVR for IP cameras; compatibility depends on supported protocols (RTSP/ONVIF). DINAO can validate your camera models in advance (to be specified).

Do my recordings go to a foreign cloud?

No. Your feeds and videos are stored on your instance with DINAO, in France. This is a major advantage for sensitive video surveillance data.

Where are the data hosted?

On the DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. Your recordings do not leave the country.

Does Yucca help me comply with GDPR?

Hosting in France and isolation facilitate your compliance, but video surveillance also imposes specific obligations (information, retention period, register). DINAO supports you on the technical side (framework to be specified).

Can I scale the number of cameras?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time to add cameras and storage; Yucca scales from home use to multi-site deployments.
