Scale MySQL without the pain
A distributed MySQL cluster powered by Vitess, installed and maintained by DINAO. The sharding and clustering that powered YouTube — hosted in France, on your servers.
What is Vitess?
Vitess is a clustering and sharding system for the horizontal scaling of MySQL. Originally created at YouTube to support massive growth, it is now a CNCF graduated project, deployed in production by many high-volume companies.
Written in Go, Vitess adds a transparent sharding layer on top of MySQL : its VTGate (query router) and VTTablet (replication, health, and service management) components enable online resharding, connection pooling, and schema management without downtime.
Compatible with standard MySQL clients and SQL, Vitess is cloud-native and Kubernetes-oriented (Vitess Operator). DINAO handles containerized deployment, resharding, backups, and monitoring, giving you MySQL scalability without the operational complexity.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Do I need to rewrite my application to use Vitess?
No. VTGate exposes an endpoint compatible with the MySQL protocol. Your existing drivers, ORMs, and SQL queries connect as if to a standard MySQL database, while Vitess handles sharding in the background.
What does sharding actually achieve?
Sharding distributes your data across multiple MySQL instances. This allows you to exceed the limits of a single server (volume, writes, connections) without changing your database engine.
Is Vitess a reliable project?
Yes. Born at YouTube, Vitess is a "graduated" project of the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation), a mark of maturity and widespread production adoption.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO's infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your shards never leave the territory.
Can I scale my cluster?
Yes. Vitess supports online resharding: DINAO adds shards and scales your cluster up without noticeable service interruption.
