What is Trek?
Trek is a collaborative self-hosted travel planner that brings together, in a single interface, everything needed to organize a trip. Drag-and-drop day-by-day planning, interactive maps with photo markers, weather forecasts, multi-currency budgets, packing lists and a magazine-style travel journal sit alongside bookings, document storage and PDF export.
Its WebSocket real-time synchronization keeps travel companions and family coordinated as plans evolve. SSO via OIDC (optional) allows integration with an existing identity provider, and a built-in MCP server paves the way for AI assistance to plan, pack and manage your budget.
Trek is deployable via Docker, supports two-factor authentication, offline mode and installs as a PWA on mobile. Unlike commercial apps that lock itineraries and photos behind subscriptions, Trek runs on infrastructure you control — at DINAO, hosted in France.
