Your media library trailers, automated
A companion for Radarr and Sonarr that downloads and organizes trailers for your movies and series, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your media library stays on our French servers — hosted in France.
What is Trailarr?
Trailarr is a self-hosted application designed to download and manage trailers for your media library. It is a natural companion to the « *arr » stack: it connects to your Radarr (movies) and Sonarr (series) instances, as well as Plex, to stay synchronized with your library.
For each movie or series, Trailarr checks if a trailer already exists and, if necessary, downloads the missing video via yt-dlp and FFmpeg at the resolution and codec you have chosen. The file is then placed directly in the media folder, with a Plex-compatible naming convention by default.
The application manages multiple instances of Radarr, Sonarr, and Plex, offers customizable profiles to control downloads, works with Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, and other media servers, and provides a responsive web interface. Built with Angular and FastAPI, it deploys easily via Docker.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does Trailarr replace Radarr or Sonarr?
No, it complements them. Trailarr connects to your existing Radarr and Sonarr instances to add only the management of missing trailers.
Where are the trailers stored?
Directly in the folder for each movie or series, with Plex-compatible (or custom) naming, so your media server recognizes them automatically.
Which media servers are supported?
Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, and most media servers that read trailer files from the media folder.
Can I control the quality of the trailers?
Yes. Customizable profiles allow you to choose the resolution, codec, and naming rules for downloaded trailers.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your configuration remains exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
