What is StarRocks?

StarRocks is an open-source analytical (OLAP) database, renowned for its sub-second query performance on very large volumes. Thanks to its columnar storage, vectorized execution engine, and cost-based optimizer, it excels in BI, real-time dashboards, and exploratory analytics.

Its MySQL-compatible protocol and SQL allow you to immediately connect to market tools (Superset, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI). StarRocks can also directly query a data lake in Iceberg, Hudi, Delta, or Parquet formats, without copying data, and ingest real-time streams via Kafka or Flink.

Materialized views, query caching, and distributed joins make it a suitable engine for both a single node and a high-availability cluster. Hosted and maintained by DINAO in France, StarRocks becomes a sovereign and high-performance analytical data warehouse.
