What is Shopware?
Shopware is a European-origin open source e-commerce platform, built on the Symfony (PHP) framework with a Vue.js admin interface. Designed for professional stores, it covers the entire merchant journey: product catalog, shopping cart, checkout funnel, payments, taxes, and invoicing, with native support for multi-language and multi-currency.
Its key advantage is an API-first / headless architecture: every feature is accessible via a REST/JSON API, allowing you to connect a PWA storefront, an existing website, or a mobile app while keeping a robust sales engine. The integrated Shopping Experiences CMS lets you compose rich pages without development, and the B2B suite (price lists, roles, validation workflows, quotes) meets professional sales needs.
Designed in Europe according to data protection standards, Shopware includes GDPR tools (customer data export and deletion, consent management) and can be fully hosted on servers in France. Managed by DINAO, you benefit from installation, updates, backups, and monitoring, without entrusting your data or orders to a non-EU entity.

Where are my customers' data hosted?
On DINAO's French infrastructure, in one of the available datacenters. Your customers' accounts, orders, and details never leave the territory, unlike SaaS platforms hosted outside the EU.
What payment methods can I offer?
Shopware integrates with major European gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Mollie…) and supports SEPA, credit cards, bank transfers, and invoice payments. The exact choice depends on your merchant contract.
Can my store handle traffic spikes?
Yes. We enable HTTP cache, Redis, and, depending on the tier, OpenSearch to absorb spikes (sales, launches). You can also upgrade tiers at any time for more resources.
Is Shopware suitable for B2B?
Yes. The native B2B suite manages customer-specific price lists, roles and validation workflows, quotes, and quick ordering by reference. Ideal for selling to both professionals and individuals.
Am I locked into DINAO? Can I export?
No. Shopware is open source: you remain the owner of your store and your data, which is exportable. You can upgrade or downgrade tiers freely, without proprietary lock-in.
