Overview

What is ShipShipShip?

ShipShipShip is a lightweight, self-hostable web application for changelog and roadmap, designed as an open-source alternative to Canny and UserJot. It allows you to share product updates with your community and collect feedback through a voting system for upcoming features.

The tool combines a rich changelog (Markdown editor, event statuses, emoji reactions), a drag-and-drop Kanban roadmap, light/dark themes, and automatic newsletters to notify subscribers with every publication. Built with SvelteKit and Go, it deploys in a few commands via Docker and stores its data in SQLite, without complex configuration.

DINAO hosts it in France on your domain, manages updates, backups, and monitoring — keeping your product portal sovereign and GDPR compliant.

FAQ

You might be wondering…

How does ShipShipShip replace Canny or UserJot?

It covers the same needs — public changelog, roadmap, voting, and feedback — but is self-hosted on your domain and infrastructure, with no per-seat subscription and no data collection by a third-party vendor.

Do my users need to create an account?

To vote and propose ideas, a lightweight account may be required. Viewing the changelog and roadmap remains public, depending on your configuration.

Can I customize the appearance?

Yes. Light/dark themes are included, and branding customization (logo, colors, domain) is available starting from the Team plan for a consistent product page.

Are my subscribers' emails protected?

Yes. Subscribers to your release newsletter and their feedback remain on your instance in France, with no resale or sharing.

Can I send update newsletters?

Yes. ShipShipShip can automatically notify your subscribers with every publication, keeping your community informed about your releases.
