What is ShinyProxy?
ShinyProxy is an open-source platform, developed by Open Analytics, dedicated to the deployment of analytical applications at the enterprise level. Originally designed for Shiny (R) applications, it actually hosts any web application packaged in a Docker image: Dash, Streamlit, and many other frameworks — without rewriting your code.
Where a raw data app is difficult to distribute in production, ShinyProxy provides the missing layer: integrated authentication (LDAP, Active Directory, OIDC, SAML, OpenID, social login), access control per application and role, and above all container isolation — each user session runs in its own container, ensuring that no data leaks from one user to another.
ShinyProxy relies on Docker, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes for horizontal scaling, allowing it to serve many users simultaneously. Hosted by DINAO on a dedicated instance in France, it transforms your data scientists' prototypes into true enterprise tools, accessible, secure, and sovereign.

What applications can I deploy?
Any web application packaged in a Docker image: Shiny (R), Dash, and Streamlit (Python) apps, as well as other frameworks. ShinyProxy was designed around Shiny but remains generic.
Why not simply host the app as is?
ShinyProxy adds what is missing in production: authentication, role management, user isolation (each with their own container), and scaling. This is what transforms a prototype into a reliable enterprise tool.
How does authentication work?
ShinyProxy integrates with your directory or IdP (LDAP, Active Directory, OIDC, SAML…) and applies access control per application and role.
Is my data isolated between users?
Yes. Each session runs in its own container, preventing any data leakage between users and facilitating scaling.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO's infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your applications and data never leave the country.
