What is SFTPGo?
SFTPGo is an open-source file transfer server that combines the SFTP, FTP/S, WebDAV, and HTTP/S protocols into a single tool. It advantageously replaces multiple disparate servers with a single, secure solution fully manageable via a web interface — ideal for exchanging files with your clients, partners, or applications.
Its strength lies in granular access control: each account has its own credentials (SSH key, password, or both), quotas, bandwidth limits, isolated virtual folders, and precise permissions. This allows you to grant access to third parties while ensuring they only see what concerns them, all logged and auditable.
For storage, SFTPGo relies on either local disk or object storage (S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage), behind the same interface. It integrates with LDAP and exposes hooks to automate processing. Hosted by DINAO in France, it offers a sovereign, encrypted, and GDPR-compliant transfer platform.

Can I grant access to an external partner?
Yes. You create a dedicated account with its own credentials, isolated folder, quotas, and permissions. They only see their files, and all access is tracked.
Are transfers encrypted?
Yes. All protocols used are encrypted (SSH, TLS). Your data transit and are stored securely on your instance in France.
Can I connect my directory?
Yes. SFTPGo supports LDAP authentication and external providers for centralized account management.
Where is the data hosted?
On the DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. Your files never leave the territory.
