What is Semaphore?
Semaphore (Semaphore UI) is an open-source modern web interface for running and orchestrating your infrastructure automations. Instead of launching your Ansible playbooks, Terraform / OpenTofu plans, and scripts from a terminal, you control them from a clear UI — accessible to the entire team, without command-line expertise.
Semaphore centralizes sensitive and structural elements: encrypted secrets (SSH keys, passwords, variables), inventories, environments, and project-based permissions. Each task can be launched manually, scheduled like a cron job, or triggered by a webhook, and each execution retains its detailed logs in a complete history.
With LDAP / OIDC authentication, role management, and run traceability, Semaphore provides the governance and security often missing from 'homegrown' automations. Hosted by DINAO on a dedicated instance in France, it is the ideal conductor for your Infrastructure as Code.
