Search the web without being tracked
SearXNG is a private search metatool that aggregates dozens of search engines without profiling you or displaying ads. Installed and supervised by DINAO, hosted in France.
What is SearXNG?
SearXNG is a free and privacy-respecting search metatool. Instead of indexing the web itself, it queries dozens of search engines in real time (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Wikipedia, code repositories, image, map, or science search engines), then aggregates and deduplicates the results in a single, clean, ad-free interface.
No user profiles are created: SearXNG does not place advertising cookies and anonymizes queries sent to source engines, avoiding filter bubbles. Administrators choose the enabled engines, categories, theme, and preferences, and can add it as the browser's default search engine via OpenSearch.
DINAO hosts your instance in France, with no ads or tracking, including updates, caching, backups, and supervision — a sovereign and GDPR-compliant web search for your entire organization.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does SearXNG store my searches?
No. By default, no queries are logged or associated with a profile. SearXNG acts as an intermediary and masks your identity from source engines.
Where do the results come from?
SearXNG queries dozens of search engines in real time (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Wikipedia, code repositories, etc.), then aggregates and deduplicates the results. You choose which engines to enable.
Can I set it as my browser's default search engine?
Yes. The instance exposes OpenSearch: you can add it as the default search engine in Firefox, Chrome, or Edge with just a few clicks.
Is it suitable for a business or school?
Yes. A private, ad-free, tracking-free instance hosted in France is ideal for providing neutral, GDPR-compliant search to your users.
Can some engines be blocked or limited?
Source engines sometimes impose limitations. DINAO adjusts the configuration (engines, frequency, caching) to maintain reliable results.
