Your media library, hosted in France
Ryot (Roll Your Own Tracker) brings together in one place everything you consume and practice: movies, series, books, games, anime, manga, podcasts, and workout sessions. Installed and maintained by DINAO, your tracker stays on our French servers — your habits never leave the country.
What is Ryot?
Ryot — for “Roll Your Own Tracker” — is an open-source self-hosted application that brings together in one place everything you consume and practice. Rather than scattering your tracking across spreadsheets and a dozen different accounts, Ryot centralizes your movies, series, anime, manga, books, audiobooks, podcasts, music, and video games, as well as your workout sessions, measurements, and progress. An analytics dashboard gives you an overview of your habits and progress over time.
On the technical side, Ryot is designed for performance: a core written in Rust, a TypeScript interface with PWA mode for mobile, a PostgreSQL database, and an open GraphQL API. It natively integrates with Jellyfin, Plex, Emby, and Kodi to automatically mark your viewing history, and imports your history from Goodreads, Trakt, or MyAnimeList. The project is distributed under the GPL-3.0 license.
With DINAO, you enjoy Ryot without any administrative constraints: we deploy your instance via Docker, manage HTTPS, your domain, updates, monitoring, and backups. Most importantly, your data remains hosted in France and GDPR compliant: your cultural and sports life belongs to you, and remains sovereign.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
What exactly can you track with Ryot?
Ryot covers movies, series, anime, manga, books, audiobooks, podcasts, music, and video games, as well as fitness: workout sessions, exercise database, measurements, and progress curves. The idea is to bring all your cultural and sports consumption into a single library.
Does my data really stay in France?
Yes. Your Ryot instance and its PostgreSQL database are hosted on DINAO’s infrastructure in France. Your reading, viewing, and training history is never transmitted to a third party, in strict compliance with GDPR.
Can I retrieve my history from other services?
Absolutely. Ryot imports your data from Goodreads, Trakt, MyAnimeList, and other sources, and automatically syncs with Jellyfin, Plex, Emby, or Kodi to mark what you’re watching in real-time.
Do I need technical skills to use it?
No. DINAO installs, configures, and maintains your instance: Docker deployment, HTTPS, domain, updates, and backups are handled for you. You just need to log in and start tracking your media.
Can multiple people share the same instance?
Yes. Ryot supports multiple profiles with OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication, making it ideal for a family, household, association, or club. Each member keeps their own library and statistics.
