What is PsiTransfer?

PsiTransfer is a self-hosted file sharing solution, simple and open source, designed as an alternative to paid services like Dropbox or WeTransfer. Its principle: no account or login required, you drag and drop your files and share a link.

The application supports numerous and very large files, resuming interrupted uploads and downloads, setting an expiration duration for each upload "bucket", single-use downloads, as well as group downloads as a zip or tar.gz archive. The responsive and mobile-friendly interface relies on very lightweight Vue.js front-end applications (less than 65 ko gzipped).

Deployment via Docker is the recommended method, with an official image kept up to date. PsiTransfer thus offers a fast, lean, and privacy-respecting file transfer service, fully controlled on your own infrastructure.

Do I need to create an account to send a file?

No. PsiTransfer does not require an account or registration: you drag and drop your files, get a sharing link, that's it. You can restrict upload access if needed.

What file size can I send?

PsiTransfer handles very large files and resuming interrupted transfers. The limit depends on your plan, and volume can be tailored to your needs.

Do files expire?

Yes. You set a lifespan for each upload, or enable single-use download. Expired files are automatically purged.

Where are the data hosted?

On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your files never leave the territory.

Do I need technical skills?
