What is Pi-hole?
Pi-hole is a network-wide ad blocker that acts as a DNS sinkhole. Installed at a central point, it protects all the devices on the network: ads and trackers are blocked before they are even downloaded, with nothing to install on each computer.
Because it works at the DNS level, Pi-hole also blocks advertising in unusual places — mobile apps, smart TVs, connected devices — regardless of the hardware or operating system. By eliminating these needless requests, it also helps speed up browsing and reduce bandwidth consumption.
It provides a statistics and control web interface, an API, a built-in DHCP server, fine-grained management of blocklists and allowlists, query logging and several privacy modes. Pi-hole is for anyone who wants to clean up and take back control of the DNS traffic on their network, at home or in business.

How do I activate Pi-hole on my network?
Simply set your DINAO instance as the DNS server, either on your router/box (protecting the entire network at once) or device by device. DINAO provides the exact configuration.
Does it slow down my connection?
No, on the contrary: by blocking ads and trackers before they load, pages often display faster. DNS resolution remains nearly instantaneous.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO's infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your DNS queries are resolved within the territory and are never resold.
Do I need technical skills?
No. Once the DNS is configured (a one-time step that DINAO guides you through), everything is automatic. The dashboard is simple, and DINAO manages block lists, backups, and updates.
Can I unblock a site or disable filtering?
Yes. You manage your own allow and block lists, and you can temporarily suspend filtering with one click from the dashboard, per device or for the entire network.
