Data search & analytics, hosted in France
OpenSearch is a distributed search and analytics engine with its built-in dashboards (OpenSearch Dashboards). Deployed and maintained by DINAO, your logs and indexes remain on our French servers.
What is OpenSearch?
OpenSearch is an open source suite for distributed search and analytics, derived from Elasticsearch and Kibana and licensed under Apache 2.0. It combines a powerful search engine with its visualization interface, OpenSearch Dashboards, to index, search, and explore very large volumes of data.
Its use cases cover full-text search in documents, log analysis and observability (logs, traces, metrics), as well as vector search (k-NN) for semantic similarity and AI applications. Alerting, role-based security, and REST APIs complete the platform.
Fully open source and free of license lock-in, OpenSearch is a sovereign alternative to cloud search and observability solutions. Hosted and maintained by DINAO in France, it keeps your indexes and logs on French territory, safe from foreign dependencies.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
What is OpenSearch used for?
To index, then search and analyze large volumes of data: application and server logs, documents, and business data. With OpenSearch Dashboards, you can visualize this data in real time.
What is the difference with Elasticsearch?
OpenSearch is an open source fork of Elasticsearch/Kibana, licensed under Apache 2.0. It offers equivalent features (search, dashboards, security, alerting) without the licensing constraints of recent Elasticsearch versions.
Does it support semantic search for AI?
Yes. OpenSearch supports vector search (k-NN), useful for semantic similarity, RAG, and AI use cases, in addition to standard full-text search.
Does my data stay in France?
Yes. Your indexes, logs, and snapshots are hosted on DINAO's infrastructure in France, with no third-party cloud dependency. Encryption at rest and in transit.
Can I scale my cluster?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time, and on the Enterprise plan, you can move to a multi-node cluster for high availability and large volumes.
