Your AI software engineer, hosted in France
An autonomous development agent (ex-OpenDevin) that writes code, runs commands, navigates, and opens pull requests in a sandbox. DINAO hosts your instance — your code stays on our French servers.
What is OpenHands?
OpenHands (formerly OpenDevin) is an autonomous AI software development agent, capable of executing complex engineering tasks and collaborating with developers. Born from an open-source effort to match and surpass the proprietary Devin agent, it has evolved into a true code agent platform, boasting tens of thousands of stars on GitHub.
In practice, the agent can modify code, execute shell commands, navigate the web, call APIs, and open pull requests, all within an isolated Docker environment (sandbox) that secures its actions. Connected to your Git repositories, it handles issues, proposes fixes, and submits its work accompanied by a summary.
The ecosystem includes a CLI, a web interface, and the ability to run the agent in a terminal, a CI pipeline, or a browser. OpenHands can rely on a local open-weight language model or an external API, making it a powerful engineering assistant deployable with full sovereignty.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.
Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does my source code go to an AI provider?
It depends on the connected model. In local LLM mode (open-weight hosted on your instance), everything stays in France. If you connect an external API, the code sent in context goes through that provider — see the sovereignty note.
Is OpenHands dangerous for my infrastructure?
No, by design. The agent runs in an isolated Docker sandbox that contains its actions. You retain control over connected repositories and granted permissions.
Where are the data hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. Code, prompts, and logs remain on your dedicated instance.
Can it work on my issues and open PRs?
Yes. Connected to your repositories, OpenHands can handle an issue, propose a fix, run tests, and open a pull request with a summary of its work.
Who manages updates and security?
DINAO. We install versions, apply patches, supervise the instance, and perform backups. You orchestrate the agent, we operate the platform.
