What is Open Source POS?
Open Source POS (OSPOS) is a web point of sale application, open source, written in PHP (CodeIgniter framework) and backed by a MySQL database, with a Bootstrap-based interface. It allows you to manage inventory, track sales, and print receipts, quotes, and invoices.
Beyond basic POS functions, OSPOS offers item and kit management, inventory control with barcode generation, customer relationship management (CRM), extensive reporting tools, and restaurant support with table management. Sales and return transactions are logged and printable.
The application can be installed locally or remotely, is packaged for Docker, and remains lightweight enough to run even on modest hardware.

Is it suitable for restaurants?
Yes. OSPOS includes table management tailored for restaurant operations, in addition to retail.
Is there a commission on my sales?
No. You pay a fixed hosting fee to DINAO; no commission is charged on your revenue.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data (MySQL database, exports) remains yours — no proprietary lock-in.
