What is Open Monograph Press?
Open Monograph Press (OMP) is an open-source platform for publishing scholarly books and monographs, developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), which also created the renowned OJS for journals. It supports the entire editorial workflow, from manuscript submission to online publication.
OMP manages submissions of monographs and collective works (chapter by chapter), peer review (open, single-blind, or double-blind), revision and production steps, as well as the management of editor, author, reviewer, and proofreader roles. Each work progresses through configurable stages.
For distribution, OMP offers an online catalog with book and series pages, chapter-by-chapter or full downloads, DOI assignment, PKP standard indexing, a multilingual interface, and customizable themes. Ideal for university presses and publishing houses looking to manage their own publication chain.

What types of peer review are supported?
OMP supports open, single-blind, and double-blind review. You configure the process, invite reviewers, and centralize their reports directly within the platform.
