Overview

What is Nexus Repository Manager?

Nexus Repository Manager (Sonatype) is the reference universal artifact repository manager for development teams. It centralizes in a single point all software components of an organization : private packages and public dependencies, across a wide variety of formats — Maven, npm, Docker, PyPI, NuGet, Helm, raw, and many others.

Nexus combines three types of repositories: hosted to publish your private artifacts, proxy to cache public registries (and ensure your builds even if the upstream fails), and groups to expose multiple repositories behind a single URL. It thus becomes the central hub of your continuous integration and delivery chain.

Natively integrated with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions…), equipped with a REST API, SSO/LDAP, fine-grained permissions, and cleanup policies, Nexus protects and accelerates your deployments. Hosted by DINAO in France, it keeps your software intellectual property under your control.
