What is Nexterm?
Nexterm is an open-source server management software that brings remote access via SSH, VNC, and RDP together in a single web interface. It also allows you to manage files via SFTP, deploy applications using Docker, and administer Proxmox LXC and QEMU containers.
On the security side, Nexterm features two-factor authentication (2FA), OIDC SSO, session management, and encryption. It offers the creation of command snippets and custom scripts to automate repetitive tasks, as well as real-time supervision (CPU, memory, processes) of your servers.
Distributed under the MIT license, Nexterm deploys as a container (All-In-One, Server, or Engine images) and listens on port 6989 by default. It is an ideal solution for centralizing server park administration, without requiring heavy clients to be installed on each workstation.

Is the access secure?
Yes. Nexterm integrates two-factor authentication (2FA), OIDC SSO, session management, and encryption. Your credentials and access remain on your instance hosted in France.
Do I need to install a client on each workstation?
No. Everything goes through the web interface on your domain via HTTPS. Your administrators can access all servers without deploying a heavy client.
Can I automate tasks?
Yes. Nexterm allows you to create command snippets and custom scripts for quick access and automation of repetitive tasks.
Do my data remain confidential?
Yes. Credentials, access, and session logs remain on our servers in France, within an isolated container. No data is transmitted to third parties.
