What is Multica?
Multica is an open-source project management platform that transforms AI code agents into true teammates. An agent has a profile, appears in the same assignment menu as humans, takes tickets, comments, reports blockers, and updates its status — exactly like a colleague.
Its name is a nod to Multics, the time-sharing operating system of the 1960s, reinterpreted for an era where the "users" sharing the system are both humans and autonomous agents. Multica is vendor-neutral: it does not impose any specific code agent and runs processing on your own machines or cloud, with its servers only coordinating state.
Designed for self-hosting, Multica deploys via Docker Compose, as a single binary or on Kubernetes, with a local daemon available for macOS, Linux, and Windows. It targets teams that want to assign tasks to AI agents, track progress, and leverage skills, while keeping control of their code and infrastructure.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.

What exactly is Multica?

Do my code repositories go to Multica?
No. The platform coordinates state (tasks, statuses), but agent execution runs on your own machines or cloud. In local mode with your models, code and exchanges stay with you.
Can I use my own models?
Yes. Multica is provider-neutral: you can connect local models hosted on your DINAO instance or an external API with your own key.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. In local mode, your tasks and content do not leave the territory.
Are technical skills required?
The project management interface is accessible to the entire team. DINAO handles installation, SSO, and updates; your developers configure the agents and the local daemon.
