What is Morphic?
Morphic is an answer engine powered by AI, featuring a generative interface. Instead of returning a simple list of links, it combines web search and large language models to produce sourced answers, enriched with visual components (credited images, grids, sections) rendered live from a structured feed.
Built on Next.js and Vercel's AI SDK, Morphic offers a model selector with dynamic provider detection: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Ollama locally, and any OpenAI-compatible provider. For search, it relies on several engines (Tavily, SearXNG, Brave, Exa).
Its Docker Compose deployment automatically orchestrates PostgreSQL, Redis, SearXNG, and the application: no external search engine key is required since SearXNG is included. Released under the Apache 2.0 license, Morphic is ideal for providing augmented, modern, and self-hosted information search.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.

How does Morphic differ from a classic chatbot?
Morphic is an answer engine: it combines web search and AI to produce sourced answers, displayed via a generative interface (images, grids, sections) instead of simple text. Ideal for augmented information search.
Do my queries go to a third-party search engine?
In sovereign configuration, search relies on the integrated SearXNG (privacy-respecting meta-engine) and a local Ollama model. Your queries are then not entrusted to an external engine or LLM.
Can I use my own models?
Yes. Morphic offers a model selector: local Ollama hosted on your DINAO instance, or external API (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral) with your own key.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. In local mode, your queries and histories do not leave the territory.
Are technical skills required?
No for usage: the interface is ready to use. DINAO manages installation (Morphic, PostgreSQL, Redis, SearXNG), security, and updates.
