What is Moodle?
Moodle is the world's most widely used open-source learning management system (LMS), adopted by universities, schools, government agencies, and businesses for in-person, remote, or hybrid training. It offers a complete and modular pedagogical environment, translated into over a hundred languages.
The platform provides all the tools for modern training: structured courses, assignments, quizzes and question banks, forums, wikis, glossaries, badges, certificates, and conditional pathways with completion tracking. It supports SCORM, LTI, H5P, and xAPI standards to integrate interactive content and communicate with other tools.
Extensible through thousands of plugins, Moodle integrates with corporate SSO (SAML, LDAP/AD), the virtual classroom BigBlueButton, and many third-party services. Its dashboards and detailed reports allow for precise management of learner progress and success.
